Calorie Dose
Calorie and macro tracking built around Sri Lankan food.
Coming to iPhone
Most calorie trackers are built on American and European food. If you eat rice and curry, pol sambol, kottu or hoppers, you end up guessing — or logging something that only roughly resembles what was on the plate. Calorie Dose starts from a food database of Sri Lankan ingredients and dishes instead, with figures taken from published food composition tables rather than crowd-sourced entries.
What it does
- Works out your daily energy needs from your height, weight, age and activity level, and turns that into calorie and macro targets for your goal.
- Tracks what you eat against those targets, including saturated fat, with a weekly view of how the days actually went.
- Builds a week of meals from foods you can buy locally, with a grocery list, respecting your diet, allergies and the things you would rather not eat.
- Reads a photo of a meal and estimates what is in it, on the Platinum plan.
Subscriptions
The calculator is free. Meal plans, the food diary and an ad-free screen are part of a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly through the App Store. Prices are shown in your own currency before you buy, and a subscription renews until you cancel it in your Apple account settings.
